The challenge
A bilingual travel site had hreflang errors between its two language versions, a broken navigation menu and caching problems.
Canonical tags on some paths pointed to the wrong URLs.
What I did
- Crawled the site with Screaming Frog and checked hreflang pairs and canonical tags.
- Fixed the hreflang setup so each page and its translation reference each other.
- Repaired the navigation menu and configured the cache.
- Completed a second milestone to fix canonical paths.
The outcome
Each language version now points to its pair correctly.
The client came back for a follow-on canonical fix.
